Call Me Adaeze…

(ah-DAY-zae)

As a first(ish) generation, only child, of Nigerian Immigrants, I tend to feel behind in these years of my late 20’s. I know this is all building to the life I truly want and am meant to live but… its hard to feel positive about the future.

I’m an actress by God given purpose with a myrIad of hats and paths that keep me sane and scratch my creative itches - just barely keep me afloat on this raft called SS living life.

Creating community despite the Chaos

I’ve dedicated to self-development and transformative habits like “The Artists Way,” various Christian devotionals, and self investment over the last year. This has made journaling a vital part of my life. '“ijem & joy” is my way of documenting the reflection and growth I’ve experienced.

Part of my acting purpose is to be a conduit of release and recognition for those that feel othered and unseen. This blog is an extension of that purpose. I hope you can see yourself in my reflections through this journey.
